Government of India at the corporate level have embarked upon a massive electrification programme for railway traction. Efforts are afoot in the railways to electrify several routes which would improve the speed of railways on one hand and would also aid in harnessing environment deterioration due to consumption of fossil fuel.
MSPL keeping the sentiments of the government have forayed into manufacture of railway OHE structures.
MSPL has planned and created specific facility for the manufacture of railway structures in a systematic manner and has also embarked upon EPC work for Railways Electrification covering design and engineering of Electric traction, yard and substation Electrification.
Under its modernization plans MSPL has already installed CNC machines for manufacture of various items necessary for railways structures which provides an edge in productivity and quality. Apart from CNC machines MSPL has 3 galvanising plant at the present operating with a capacity of around 66,000 MT per annum. MSPL is also contemplating setting-up a large galvanizing plant with 13 meter kettle which would provide capabilities of galvanizing 13 mtr structures in a single dip. The new galvanizing plant would be installed with state-of-art technology on one hand and conserving fuel on the other. The moto in MSPL is to ensure environmental protection as such all necessary equipment would be further augmented in the new galvanizing plant.
MSPL has mustered a highly skilled labour force for the fabrication of railway structures in which quality of welding is predominant.
MSPL has a well equipped quality control department for testing of quality of raw material and finished products. Our Quality control dept. is equipped with chemical lab, spectro meter, UTM machine, impact test machine etc. necessary for undertaking quality production. Manpower deployed has long experience of testing raw material as well as fabricated items.
MSPL has a well equipped design and development department to support the manufacturing wherever necessary.
